Magnesium oxide (MgO), or magnesia, is a white hygroscopic solid mineral that occurs naturally as periclase and is a source of magnesium. .While "magnesium oxide" normally refers to MgO, magnesium peroxide MgO2 is also known as a compound.
Magnesium oxide is used for relief of heartburn and dyspepsia, as an antacid, magnesium supplement, and as a short-term laxative. It is also used to improve symptoms of indigestion. Side effects of magnesium oxide may include nausea and cramping.
Our HEAVY MAGNESIUM OXIDE has a bulk density around 1 g/mL when standard heavy magnesium oxides are close to 0.25 g/l.
Our HEAVY MAGNESIUM OXIDE has an extremely high bulk density, much higher than that of other heavy magnesium oxides, which makes it an excellent filler.
