Product Description:
Beeswax (cera alba) is a natural wax produced by honey bees of the genus Apis. The wax is formed into scales by eight wax-producing glands in the abdominal segments of worker bees, which discard it in or at the hive. The hive workers collect and use it to form cells for honey storage and larval and pupal protection within the beehive. Chemically, beeswax consists mainly of esters of fatty acids and various long-chain alcohols.
Beeswax has been used since prehistory as the first plastic, as a lubricant and waterproofing agent, in lost wax casting of metals and glass, as a polish for wood and leather and for making candles, as an ingredient in cosmetics and as an artistic medium in encaustic painting.

Product Application:
Candle-making has long involved the use of beeswax, which burns readily and cleanly, and this material was traditionally prescribed for the making of the Paschal candle or “Easter candle”. Beeswax candles are purported to be superior to other wax candles, because they burn brighter and longer, do not bend, and burn “cleaner”.  It is further recommended for the making of other candles used in the liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church.  Beeswax is also the candle constituent of choice in the Orthodox Church.
Refined beeswax plays a prominent role in art materials both as a binder in encaustic paint and as a stabilizer in oil paint to add body.
Beeswax is an ingredient in surgical bone wax, which is used during surgery to control bleeding from bone surfaces; shoe polish and furniture polish can both use beeswax as a component, dissolved in turpentine or sometimes blended with linseed oil or tung oil; modeling waxes can also use beeswax as a component; pure beeswax can also be used as an organic surfboard wax. Beeswax blended with pine rosin is used for waxing, and can serve as an adhesive to attach reed plates to the structure inside a squeezebox. It can also be used to make Cutler’s resin, an adhesive used to glue handles onto cutlery knives. It is used in Eastern Europe in egg decoration; it is used for writing, via resist dyeing, on batik eggs (as in pysanky) and for making beaded eggs. Beeswax is used by percussionists to make a surface on tambourines for thumb rolls. It can also be used as a metal injection moulding binder component along with other polymeric binder materials.
Beeswax was formerly used in the manufacture of phonograph cylinders. It may still be used to seal formal legal or royal decree and academic parchments such as placing an awarding stamp imprimatur of the university upon completion of postgraduate degrees.
Purified and bleached beeswax is used in the production of food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. The three main types of beeswax products are yellow, white, and beeswax absolute. Yellow beeswax is the crude product obtained from the honeycomb, white beeswax is bleached or filtered yellow beeswax, and beeswax absolute is yellow beeswax treated with alcohol. In food preparation, it is used as a coating for cheese; by sealing out the air, protection is given against spoilage (mold growth). Beeswax may also be used as a food additive E901, in small quantities acting as a glazing agent, which serves to prevent water loss, or used to provide surface protection for some fruits. Soft gelatin capsules and tablet coatings may also use E901. Beeswax is also a common ingredient of natural chewing gum. The wax monoesters in beeswax are poorly hydrolyzed in the guts of humans and other mammals, so they have insignificant nutritional value. Some birds, such as honeyguides, can digest beeswax. Beeswax is the main diet of wax moth larvae.
Use of beeswax in skin care and cosmetics has been increasing. A German study found beeswax to be superior to similar barrier creams (usually mineral oil-based creams such as petroleum jelly), when used according to its protocol. Beeswax is used in lip balm, lip gloss, hand creams, salves, and moisturizers; and in cosmetics such as eye shadow, blush, and eye liner. Vinylidene Chloride or 1,1-DCE, is an organochloride with the molecular formula C2H2Cl2. It is a colorless liquid with a sharp odor. Like most chlorocarbons, it is poorly soluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents. 1,1-DCE was the precursor to the original cling-wrap, Saran, for food, but this application has been phased out.

Product Application:
1,1-DCE is mainly used as a comonomer in the polymerization of vinyl chloride, acrylonitrile, and acrylates. It is also used in semiconductor device fabrication for growing high purity silicon dioxide (SiO2) films.

As with many other alkenes, 1,1-DCE can be polymerized to form polyvinylidene chloride. A very widely used product, cling wrap, or Saran was made from this polymer. During the 1990s research suggested that, in common with many chlorinated carbon compounds, Saran posed a possible danger to health by leaching, especially on exposure to food in microwave ovens. Since 2004, therefore cling wrap’s formulation has changed to a form of polyethylene.

C (140 deg. F). RXSOL crude oil demulsifier destabilizes the oil-water interface that surrounds each water particle in the emulsion, replaces the emulsifier molecules (if any), and allows the water to coalesce. RXSOL crude oil demulsifier (demulsification of crude oil) is a completely combustible, non-abrasive; non-ash-forming treatment, which will improve the quality of the fuel it, is added to. The effects of crude oil demulsifier in demulsification of water in crude oil emulsions are based on relative rates of water separation were recognized through emulsion breakers.

Product Application:
Demulsification is used for the separation of water from crude oil. As crude oil is produced from a reservoir it tends to become mixed with either natural formation water or mixed formation and injection water. It is critical for refining process operations that the crude oil is efficiently and quickly separated from the water to allow oil to be exported and clean water to be discharged within consent, thus maximizing crude oil value and minimizing operating costs.

They are commonly used in the processing of crude oil for effectively separating formation water from emulsions in crude oil.

Using Procedure:
Dose recommendations have to be made on a case-by-case basis. The dosage of RXSOL DEMULSIFIER prescribed to break a particular emulsion varies from as little as 1 ltr per 20,000 Ltrs (50 ppm) of oil to as much as 1 Ltr per 10,000 ltrs (100 ppm) of oil. A few companies have even found that 20 ppm was more effective than the higher dosages, so we suggest adding the lower levels to your laboratory bench tests to verify the correct dosage for the specific application. Finding the most cost-effective dosage, as well as determining the best conditions of temperature, slow mixing, settling time, etc., is best done in the laboratory, using a sample of the actual oil or waste and a sample of Demulsifier.

Methodology for Evalution of Demulsifier :

Step 1 :Treat 100ml of the emulsion with 40 mg/litre of Demulsifer, (using 1% w/v solution in xylene in 100 ml graduated conical tube) and give 100 shakes of approximately 12 in stroke

Step 2 : Place treated emulsion in water bath maintained at 70 +1oC for a period of 15 minutes and allow it to settle for 5 minutes at 30+2oC. measure the quantity of clear water settled

Step 3 : Conduct a blank test with untreated emulsion under condition similar to treated emulsion

Step 4 : Substract the water separator if any in blank test from treated sample and denote it as V. Similarly subtract the water separated from blank from total water present in emulsion and denote it Vo.

Using Procedure:
This citrus degreaser or citrus cleaner uses the cleaning ability of D-Limonene from orange peel extract. The orange degreaser or citrus floor cleaner cleans heavy grease or oil from floors. This orange floor cleaner rinses with water.  This natural citrus degreaser works great as a  floor adhesive remover. Dilute with water for spray and wipe orange cleaner.
To degrease and deodorize dumpsters and garbage cans, dilute this orange cleaner up to 1:20 with warm water. In kitchen areas, use it undiluted on heavy grease and carbon buildup, or add it to mop water for extra power on greasy dirt. Deodorizes as it cleans, too! Just add 1 to 3 ounces of this natural citrus degreaser per gallon of warm water along with your regular detergent for a great smelling orange floor cleaner.

Silver that is used frequently and washed in this manner will require infrequent tarnish removal. When storing your flatware, rotate the pieces so they will wear uniformly.

Ferrous Ammonium Sulfate, or Mohr’s salt, is the inorganic compound with the formula (NH4)2Fe(SO4)2(H2O)6. Containing two different cations, Fe2+ and NH4+, it is classified as a double salt of ferrous sulfate and ammonium sulfate. It is a common laboratory reagent because it is readily crystallized, and crystals resist oxidation by air. Like the other ferrous sulfate salts, ferrous ammonium sulfate dissolves in water to give the aquo complex [Fe(H2O)6]2+, which has octahedral molecular geometry. Its mineral form is mohrite.
In analytical chemistry, this salt is the preferred source of ferrous ions as the solid has a long shelf life, being resistant to oxidation. This stability extends somewhat to solutions reflecting the effect of pH on the ferrous/ferric redox couple. This oxidation occurs more readily at high pH. The ammonium ions make solutions of Mohr’s salt slightly acidic, which slows this oxidation process. Sulfuric acid is commonly added to solutions to reduce oxidation to ferric iron. It is used in the Fricke’s dosemeter to measure high doses of gamma rays.
