Zircon, baddeleyite or manufactured zirconia are all useful refractory materials. They are valued for the preparation of special moulds and refractory bricks. High-grade zircon melts at about 2190ºC, softens between 1600ºC and 1800ºC and shows little shrinkage up to 1750ºC. Zircon exhibits many characteristics that make it very suitable for super refractory purposes. In addition to a high melting point it was very low thermal expansion and good resistance to abrasion. Zircon is used when acidic refractory is required while zirconia refractories are considered to be basic. A cheaper type of zircon-refractory is prepared with mixing zircon with alumina. It is reported to have refractory properties as good as those of zircon. At high temperatures the following reaction takes place:
2ZrSiZO4 + 3Al2O3 = 2ZrO2 + 3Al2O3. 2SiO2
The dissociation of zircon starts at 1400ºC and at about 1600ºC a complete reaction takes place forming a stable product of zirconia and mullite. The high grade zircon sand is largely used in foundry as mould. It does not wet the molten metal, thus giving a better and smoother surface to the casting. It is estimated that about 75% of the total world zircon production is used as molding sand and in the manufacture of refractory bricks, zirconium compounds and ceramics. Only 25% is used for the extraction of metal or in the manufacture of alloys.
Prepared zirconia and also zircon are extensively used in the glass and ceramic industry for opacifying enamels, porcelain and glazes.
Zircon sands bonded into bricks are also used in large quantities as refractory bricks in glass and aluminum industries. Zircon has special properties of resistance to spalling and wetting by glass and aluminum which makes it suitable for the above purpose. Finely powdered zircon and zirconia are used as an abrasive in polishing optical glasses.

Zircon’s exceptional qualities of hardness and durability makes it a must-use for the manufacture of ceramics and refractory tiles and also for a range of other high-tech applications such as armour plating on military aircraft, heat shield in space shuttles and potentially as solid oxide fuel cells in hydrogen powered vehicles and in many industrial and chemical applications. Owing to its chemical inertness, very low heat conductivity, high specific gravity, low expansion, good resistance to abrasion, high melting point and no shrinkage on being heated up to 17500C, zircon is found to be an outstanding refractory material. In the foundry industry, zircon is used as a facing for foundry moulds as it increases the resistance to metal penetration and affords a uniform finish to castings. Zircon sand is preferred to silica sand because of its uniform size, higher melting point, low thermal expansion and resistance to molten metal, acidic chemicals, slag, etc.

Particles and Surface State
Silica Sol made by growing mono-dispersed, negatively charged, amorphous silica particles in water. OH ions exist at the surface of the particles with an electric double layer formed by alkali ions. Stabilization is achieved by the repulsion between the same negatively charged particles. Disturbance of the charge balance will cause the Silica Sol to aggregate, resulting in high viscosity or gelation of the solution.
Stability
Effects of pH change
The higher the concentration or the smaller the particle size, the greater the effect pH change will have on gelation time and stability. Silica Sol  is very stable in the 2-4 and 8-10 pH ranges as illustrated in the diagram below. If a formulation or coating system has a neutral pH, or the formulation requires a Silica Sol with greater stability.
When the pH exceeds 10.5 with a strong alkali, such as caustic soda or sodium silicate, coagulation and dissolution of the silica particles occurs.
Long chain amines tend to cause Silica Sol  to gel, but ethylamine, morpholine and other similar amines tend to stabilize the sol. Silica Sol  maintains its stability for a fairly long time even when the pH of an alkaline Silica Sol  grade is lowered by the addition of an acid. However, the gelation time differs with the kind of acids used for pH adjustment. The gelation time when the pH is changed by adding hydrochloric acid and acetic acid is shown below. Organic acids tend to provide better stability in terms of gelation time, depending on the SiO2 concentration and particle size.
Effects of salts and electrolytes
Polyvalent metal ions will cause Silica Sol  to gelate. This is because the polyvalent ions interfer with the surface charge of the Silica Sol. The resulting charge imbalance causes the particles to agglomerate. The surface charge maintains the Silics Sol stability. The degree of gelation is not uniform, and varies depending on the type, concentration, temperature, etc. of the electrolyte used. Monovalent salts react slowly, but polyvalent salts such as alum, react quickly at pH 9 and higher. When the pH is lowered, the effect of alum and magnesium sulfate decreases. This electrolytic effect on Silica Sol  is useful to speed up or slow down the gelation. The gelation time of Silica Sol at 52° C with addition of sodium chloride and sulfate are depicted below.
Compatibility with organic solvents
Alcohol, acetone and other polarized solvents can be mixed with Silica Sol. However, there is a mixing limit and gelation may occur. The compatibility with alcohol when the pH is changed is shown below as an example. Silica Sol can be mixed with alcohol at any proportion.
Compatibility with surfactants
Generally, Silica sol  is compatible with anionic and nonionic surfactants. Compatibility is dependent on impurities and the composition of the surfactant. Incompatibility may cause the Silica Sol  to gel or agglomerate. Therefore, it is important to select the surfactant carefully. Silica Sol  is compatible with a wide range of surfactants.
Compatibility with emulsion resins and water soluble resins
Silica Sol is compatible with emulsion resins and water soluble resins having the same pH and electric charge. In the case of emulsion resin, gelation and separation may occur depending on which emulsifier is used. Therefore, it is important to select the emulsifier carefully. Silica  Sol  is also compatible with a wide range of emulsifiers.

Lower the freezing point and stop problems caused by the diesel freezing  wax solid in lines. The most important role of RXSOL additives is to restrict crystallization of wax at cloud point of fuel .
In general at lower temperature paraffin content of fuel  started to crystallize and form tiny lumps of crystals which prohibit flow rate, Good emulsification through RXSOL-41-8977-025 restricts crystallization process in fuel tank.

Product Application:
The Cloud Point of a gasoil is the temperature at which the first paraffin-precipitation can be observed. In order to lower the Cloud Point of a gasoil normally a blend with kerosene (containing no paraffins) is made to comply with the required characteristics. As sometimes very small adjustments are required of only 2 degree Celsius lower, we can advise the use of a Cloud-Point-Improver.
Using Procedure:
Cold flow improver mixed properly in fuel to dissolved wax present. It should be added to a tank before the fuel is put in so that mixing takes place. Pouring it in the top of a tank in which the wax has dropped out of the diesel is a waste of time.
Mixing Condition :::  Must avoid mixing of RXSOL-41-8977-025 at cloud point of fuel.  Mixing suitable conditions is atleast 5 to 10 °C above the cloud point of FUEL.

RXSOL-70-7004 is specifically intended for treatment and reduction of corrosive smoke , carbon and soot deposits formed on exhaust valve seats and turbocharger components.  It is a  most advanced fuel oil treatment for modern steam generating units that burn Bunker- ‘C’ or lighter distillates. It is completely soluble in fuel oils and disperses Atomic Manganese throughout the firebox. It will improve combustion and prevent corrosion by eliminating the formation of nitric and sulfuric oxides. It will prevent slag formation and bridging by raising the fusion temperature of alkali metals and vanadium.
It is a highly concentrated combustion improving agent, to optimize the combustion for marine fuel oils.
A higher burn-out of carbon and hydrocarbon will reduce the build-up of deposits, reduce maintenance and increase the time between overhauls.
The risk of T/C breakdown and boiler fires is significantly reduced.

Product Application:
For carbon residue formation during combustion is inhibited by manganese catalysts that lower the ignition temperature of heavy asphalt particles or bunker – C. The combustion time is consequently increased, leading to a reduction of tarry deposits and carbonaceous fire scale also It will prevent slag formation

Uses: Metal and ceramic cleaning, amine sulfamates, ph control, hard water scale removal, electroplating.
At room temperatures, dilute aqueous Sulfamic Acid solution is stable for a long time but rapid hydrolysis occurs at elevated temperatures. Its solution is less corrosive toward metals than other mineral acid. When compared to most of the common strong mineral acids, Sulfamic Acid has desirable water descaling properties, low volatility, low toxicity and is a water soluble solid forming soluble calcium and iron-III salts. Because of its many positive attributes like handling ease, solubility and low corrosiveness, Sulfamic Acid is used for many diversified applications.

Used as an immersion liquid
Used as filling with a Sulfamic acid descalant solution
Used through circulation for consistent concentration though the closed circuit
Used in cold as well as with temperature ranging from 40º to 60ºC

Metal sulphamate electrolytes values for their high solubility cadmium, cobalt nickle, lead silver and radium sulphamte deposits are bright and dense. Lead sulphamate is used in refining lead when a high quality is desired.
Sulphamic acid in Sulphation and Sulphamation
Sulphamic acid is used for sulphation and sulphamation of many organic compounds. Sulphation of aklyl pheno-ethylen oxide condensation products 9for detergents and sulphation of ethoxylated phenol-formaldehyde resins is preferable with Sulphamic Acid. Stronger agents cause unwanted ring sulphomation.

Machines should be rinsed with water to remove loose flakes & sludge’s before use

Proper ventilation is essential for effective usage of Sulfamic Acid Descalant
After cleansing, the solution should be drained out and the system should be rinsed with water until pH value is neutral
Rinsing with ROTO PASS 212 for better metal prevention and passivation is recommended
