Bentonite can be Broadly classified in 2 grades :
Granular: Granular is the preferred option for filling trenches where the conductor is covered with Bentonite and then water poured over and mixed in the trench.
Powder: Powder is the preferred method for pouring into bore holes to en-sure the mixture is of a thin enough consistency to reach the bottom of the bore hole. If diamond drilling is required for deep holes, possible 40m depths and deeper and the Bentonite is to be pumped through the core into the hole, then powder would be the preferred option.

Granular Activated Carbon has a relatively larger particle size compared to powdered Activated Carbon and consequently, presents a smaller external surface. Diffusion of the adsorbate is thus an important factor. These carbons are therefore preferred for all absorption of gases and vapors as their rate of diffusion is faster. Granulated carbons are used for water treatment, deodorization and separation of components of flow systems and are also used in rapid mix basins. GAC can be either in granular or extruded form.

Product Application:
Activated carbon is useful in drinking water treatment because it acts as an adsorbent , and can effectively remove particles and  organics from water. These organics are of great concern in water treatment because they react with many disinfectants, especially chlorine.
The use of granular Activated Carbon in wastewater treatment systems is a proven process for removal of organic compounds. As a tertiary treatment method, carbon adsorption and regeneration have been used to process domestic waste waters contaminated with industrial wastes of organic origin as well as biologically treated waste waters. Activated Carbon, when contacted with water containing organic material, will remove these compounds selectively by a combination of adsorption of the less polar molecules, filtration of the larger particles, and partial deposition of colloidal material on the exterior surface. Using Procedure:

Soak Method:-
It may be used concentrated or diluted with water, depending on the degree of contamination, the surface area to be treated, the desired degree of cleaning and the available downtime. Actually, the user is the best one capable to regulate the quantity and concentration to be used for the situation at hand. In any case, when the accumulation is not heavy, a 50% solution with water must be used. Otherwise,RXSOL-22-2201. can be used undiluted especially when deposition is heavy and hard spots persist.
Cleaning Procedure
Conventional cleaning methods such as a brush, hard sponge, thick and hard broom and /or a mop can be used on heavy duty and hard stain deposits. Note that for heavy accumulations the cleaning procedure might be necessary to be repeated until the results are satisfactory. Furthermore, is important to keep in mind that 1 litre of RXSOL-22-2201 is sufficient to cover a surface area of 8-10 square meters.

NOTE :  Let this product soak into the surface for 30-45 minutes. Then using a high-powered spray washer blast the surfaces until the stains and discoloration is gone.

Product Note:
Cleaning time will vary depending on the exact nature and thickness of deposit to be removed.
Stubborn deposits should be scrubbed to assist the cleaning operation.

RXSOL-22-2201 should be mixed with fresh water to form a solution of 10-30%, depending on the extent of scaling. After using RXSOL-22-2201 it is essential to thoroughly rinse all metal surfaces at least once with a 0.5% solution of Alkalinity Control in fresh water. This solution should be circulated for 2-4 hours or until an acceptable pH value is obtained. This will neutralize any remaining acidity & passivate steel surfaces.

Activated alumina 2 – 5 mm is highly porous material; this material can have a surface area significantly over 200 square metres/g. Very suitable for use as a filter of fluoride, arsenic and selenium in drinking water.

Activated Alumina Desiccants:
Activated Alumina Desiccants is a porous form of aluminum oxide. It has a high surface area which adsorbs vapors without any change in form. Activated Alumina Desiccants  will not soften or disintegrate easily when immersed in water.
Dew points to -40°F and lower may be achieved with Activated Alumina Desiccants  depending on dryer design and operating conditions.
The 1/8  (2-5mm) bead is the size most frequently used in regenerative dryers.
If size is not known or specified, the 1/8 (2-5mm) size is usually satisfactory. However, if Activated Alumina Desiccants is used in a regenerative dryer and the desiccant retaining screens cannot be measured, the 1/4 (5-10mm) size should be used as a bed support (6 layer). If at all possible, obtain a sample and measure it  before ordering.
Product Benefits:
High adsorption capacity. With high surface area and excellent pore distribution, Activated Alumina Desiccants  has a high water adsorption capacity. This reduces initial cost, energy consumption and operating costs through smaller bed sizes and/or longer operating cycles.
Low abrasion. Insures less dusting during tower depressurization or loading. Low abrasion means low pressure drop and a reduced chance of plugging the after filter.
Resists liquid water. Water slugging due to upstream failure of after cooler, separators or drain traps will not fracture the alumina beads. The adsorption capacity of the desiccant can be restored after complete regeneration.
High crush strength. High crush strength, which limits dusting, is important during loading of desiccant towers. High crush strength makes alumina effective as a prebed material when used with other types of desiccants.
Uniform bead sizes. Activated Alumina Desiccants is a uniformly sized bead. It provides low pressure drop to minimize channeling and ensures utilization of the full bed column section.

Silica Gel Blue semi-transparent glassy substance containing an indicator as “Cobalt Chloride” a heavy metal salt. When free from moisture the Granules or beads are dark blue in color. As the beads take up moisture, they turn to light blue gradually & When they turn pink, When the gel has absorbed approximately 8 % percent of its weight in water the colored crystals will turn from blue to pink making an easy visual indicator of whether the gel has become saturated with moisture.
