Product Information:
Selenous Acid (or selenious acid) is the chemical compound with the formula H2SeO3. Structurally, it is more accurately described by (HO)2SeO. It is the principal oxoacid of selenium; the other being selenic acid.

Product Application:
The major use is in protecting and changing the color of steel, especially steel parts on firearms.
The so-called cold-bluing process uses selenous acid, copper(II) nitrate, and nitric acid to change the color of the steel from silver-grey to blue-grey or black. Alternative procedures use copper sulfate and phosphoric acid instead. This process deposits a coating of copper selenide and is fundamentally different from other bluing processes which generate black iron oxide. Some older razor blades were also made of blued steel.
Another use for selenious acid is the chemical darkening and patination of copper, brass and bronze, producing a rich dark brown color that can be further enhanced with mechanical abrasion.
It can be used as an oxidizing agent e.g. in laboratory preparation of glyoxal (ethane-1,2-dione) from glycol.
Selenious acid is a key component of the Mecke reagent used for drug checking

Aquasol Corrosion Inhibitor RX protects  components from corrosion during transport and storage . This environmentally-friendly product is a substitute for sodium nitrite-based alternatives. Aquasol corrosion inhibitor is added to rinse water for either spray or immersion rinse during cleaning, and provides long term protection against moisture and humidity for ferrous components. Protection may last up to six months, depending on storage conditions, and post-treatment processes such as brazing, bonding, and painting are not affected. The molecular layer of Aquasol Corrosion Inhibitor Rx  protection is invisible and non-tacky, and does not affect adhesion. Aquasol Corrosion Inhibitor contains no nitrites or phosphates. Fluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6) is manufactured and sold as aqueous (water) solutions. The solutions are clear, colorless liquids that have a slightly sharp, pungent odor. Common industrial solution strength concentrations are 20 % and 40% in water.
Fluosilicic acid can be obtained as a major byproduct of the phosphate fertilizer industry. It can be used in the preparation of sodium fluorosilicate, via neutralization with sodium chloride. It can also undergo neutralization with ammonia to produce ammonium fluoride and silica.

Product Application:
Concentrated fluorosilicic acid solution (FSA) is used for water fluoridation, as a metal surface treatment and cleaner and for pH adjustment in industrial textile processing or laundries. It can also be used in the processing of hides, for hardening masonry and ceramics and in the manufacture of other chemicals. FSA can only exist as a liquid. There is no solid form. Fluorosilicic acid solutions are corrosive and contact can severely irritate and burn the skin and eyes causing possible permanent eye damage. Breathing concentrated fluorosilicic acid solutions can severely irritate and burn the nose, throat, and lungs, causing nosebleeds, cough, wheezing and shortness of breath. Many of the symptoms described are due to the hydrogen fluoride present as an impurity.

Product Note:
Inhalation or ingestion of large amounts of concentrated fluorosilicic acid solution can cause nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite. Exposure to high concentrations or long term exposures to lower concentrations can cause fluoride poisoning with stomach pain, weakness, convulsions and death. It can also cause deposits of fluorides in bones and teeth, a condition called fluorosis. This may cause pain, disability and discoloration of teeth.

Zinc Chloride is a chemical compound, which is composed of zinc and chlorine. It is a hygroscopic white crystalline ionic salt with the chemical formula ZnCl2. Zinc Chloride is soluble in mediums such as water, glycerol, ether and alcohol. Since Zinc chloride is a deliquescent, it must be protected from sources of moisture such as water vapor.
Zinc chloride has the ability to react with metal oxides (MO) to give derivatives of the formula MZnOCl2.This reaction is relevant to the utility of ZnCl2 solution as a flux for soldering — it dissolves oxide coatings, exposing the clean metal surface. Fluxes with ZnCl2 as an active ingredient are sometimes called “tinner’s fluid”. Typically this flux was prepared by dissolving zinc foil in dilute hydrochloric acid until the liquid ceased to evolve hydrogen; for this reason, such flux was once known as “killed spirits”. Because of its corrosive nature, this flux is not suitable for situations where any residue cannot be cleaned away, such as electronic work.[citation needed] This property also leads to its use in the manufacture of magnesia cements for dental fillings and certain mouthwashes as an active ingredient.

Product Application:
Since it reacts with metal oxides to yield compounds with the general formula MZnOCl2 (Where M is the metal), zinc chloride is used as a flux/cleaning agent for soldering purposes. These fluxes have the ability to dissolve the layer of oxides on the surface of the metal. Some other uses of this compound are listed below.
In its molten state, this compound acts as a catalyst for some aromatization reactions. For example, hexamethyl benzene can be obtained from methanol with the help of a molten ZnCl2
Since it acts as a moderately strong Lewis acid, this compound can also serve as a catalyst for the Fischer indole synthesis reaction and some Friedel-Crafts acylation reactions.
The Lucas reagent is a solution of anhydrous zinc chloride and concentrated hydrochloric acid. This reagent is very useful in the preparation of alkyl chlorides.
A mixture of zinc oxide and hexachloroethane is used in some smoke grenades. Upon ignition, these compounds react to form a smoke of zinc chloride, which serves as a smokescreen.
ZnCl2 is also useful in fingerprint detection since it forms an easily detectable complex with Ruhemann’s purple.
The aqueous solutions of this compound, when diluted, can be used for disinfecting purposes. It is a constituent of several antiseptic mouthwash products.

Zinc chloride is highly corrosive if ingested and is also a strong irritant if inhaled. Zinc chloride is extremely corrosive and ingestion of even10 mL of a 35 % solution can result in oropharyngeal and gastric burns, epigastric tenderness, pharyngeal oedema, haematemesis and melaena.

A flux is used to remove oxide films, promote wetting, and prevent reoxidation of the surfaces during heating. Zinc Ammonium Chloride is used to prepare the flux bath which cleaned iron or steel, usually in sheet form, is passed throughe before going through the galvanizing itself. Intermetallic compounds of iron and zinc are formed on the surface of the steel or iron being treated by heating it in the presence of finely divided zinc below the melting point of the zinc. In another, molten zinc is applied in a fine spray to the surface of the cleaned iron or steel; the zinc adheres tightly to the surface, which ccalls hot-dip process. Commercially solid and triple salt of Zinc Ammonium Chloride are used mainly.

Product Application:

  • Fluxing solutions are mainly used in hot-dip galvanizing for pre-treatment of steel surfaces. This double salt solution is stored at an approximate concentration of 500 g / l and a temperature around 60 degrees C into which the pieces are dipped after pickling and washing and are then inserted into the molten zinc bath.
  • The main function of flux is to prevent oxidation of the metal before it contacts the zinc bath.
  • The solutions are also widely used for pre-treatment of metals before welding, and in the tin immersion process.

Metakleen Soltex  is a strong non caustic alkaline cleaner designed for use in the food and related industries in situations where the use of a caustic material is not indicated either for safety reasons or where susceptible materials are involved, for example aluminum and zinc. Metakleen Soltex  is also ideal for cleaning the most stubborn grease, oil, carbon, Sintered bronze capsule of T Type strainer , and other hard coatings in engineering production and maintenance.

  • Food manufacture, processing and catering:
  • Removal of heavy grease, oil or carbonised deposits from caustic-sensitive manufacturing, processing, handling or transfer equipment, e.g. aluminium baking trays.
  • Engineering and Maintenance:
  • Removal of coatings, carbon or hardened grease and oil from caustic-sensitive components or parts.
  • Low foam formulation enables Metaklenz Soltex to be used in spray/circulation wash systems.

Using Procedure:

  • Do not allow Metakleen Soltex to dry onto aluminium, glass or paintwork before rinsing.
  • Metakleen Soltex may be used cold or with hot water between 50-60°C at dilutions between 1:10 and 1:100 depending on the degree of soiling.
  • Metakleen Soltex may be applied manually with brush or cloth or used via hand-spray or high-pressure washer.
  • For hard coating removal, carbon, paint etc. Metakleen Soltex is most commonly used in purpose designed, heated immersion baths. Tanks should be constructed of welded steel with lids. Set temperature at 85°C and ensure immersion period of at least 2 hours. Periodic removal and a light wire brushing of components with the most stubborn coatings is beneficial.

Product Application:
The correct quantities of requirement for descaling will depend upon the character and thickness of scale deposits.  For regular descaling prepare a 2  –  4% solution with cold water, and fill the tank just below the overflow level, or One packet of 100 gram  add to the water for  a dummy cycle run, this helps remove any scales that  might have formed.   Apply higher strength to highly contaminated  scales. Drain the tank and fill with cold water and run the machine for 5 minutes and flush with water until the outlet water shows neutral  pH. Good results are obtained when descaling is done at 60 Deg. KITCHEN & BATHROOM CLEANER , lime eater dissolves hard and old lime scale deposits from your appliances. It extends the life of the appliance and saves running cost. It can be used in appliances such as Washing Machines, Dish Washers, Geysers, Steam Iron, Coffee Makers, Bath Tubs, Bathroom Fixtures etc.
It is a blend of surfactants, chelating agent, organic thickener, quaternery halide, phosphoric acid and perfume.
It is the ultimate in washroom cleaning and can be used on toilets, sinks and showers without fear of damage to the finish on stainless steel.
It is excellent for use on terazzo and quarry tiled floors, leaving all areas fresh, gleaming and clean.
It does not contain any harsh abrasives and after use leaves a pleasant fragrance.

Product Application:

Dip tank method can be used for brightening aluminum, stainless steel equipments and utensils.  Prepare a 3 -5% solution of RXSOL-11-1052-025   with water and soak the utensils for a while to obtain a bright surface.  Wash thoroughly with cold water and rinse dry.

Use instructions
1. Fill 3/4 parts of  kettle with water  and makes it boil fully , then disconnect heating procedure before going to 2nd step.
2. Add amount of RX 8 and leave to work. ( doses can vary on deposition of scale, For general and routine cleaning add 3 – 5% )
3. After cleaning effect flush / wash with fresh water.
4. Extra cleaning can be repeated with once more Boil water without addition of RX8 and pour away before using again.

RXSOL-11-1052-025 is a mild descaling liquid suitably designed to remove lime, food films and water scales from metallic and plastic surfaces in food processing operations.  It attacks the built up calcium, magnesium or iron scales instantly and removes the scales.  It finds extensive applications in de-liming machines, steam tables, cleaning stainless steel and iron equipment, floors, shower stalls, tiles, walls or any surface to be cleaned from scale deposits.  It contains a mixture of liquid acids inhibited to arrest its attack on metals.  It will not attack plastic, hard metal or any other surfaces, if used as directed.

Product Application:
Using Procedure:
This is mixed with fresh water 3 to 20 percent depending on deposition of scaling. After using SA-1008, sense all metal surfaces with 0.5 percent of RXSOL-54-1008-025 at least 2-4 houses , up to neutral of PH valve.
Procedure-of-use: The most effective descaling is accomplished by circulation. In the case of small components, the soak method in an immersion bath can be used. If the equipment to be cleaned is contaminated by oil, grease or sludge, then pre-cleaning with DEGREASER ( RXSOL OB 1005 ) is necessary. Depending on the extent of scaling, use a solution of 2.5-10% RXSOL-54-1008-025 . The solution will have a red colour which changes to orange when 85% of the acid has been neutralized , & to colourless  when the solution is totally neutralized. Whenever possible, the solution should be heated to 60°C.Neutralised  solutions can be re-activated by adding more RXSOL-54-1008-025  until the red colour reappears. This should not be done more than twice. RXSOL-54-1008-025  should not be used on Aluminium , Zinc, Tin or Galvanized surfaces.

After use of RXSOL-54-1008-025  a  0.5% solution of Alkalinity Control in fresh  water should be used for neutralization.
